Overview of Diet Order Integration

Nutrition Management provides a one-way inbound Diet Order Integration from the PointClickCare Electronic Heath Record (EHR). After the integration is enabled, diet orders update in real time based on changes made in the PointClickCare EHR. All changes must be made in the resident's PointClickCare EHR for the diet order to flow properly to Nutrition Management.

Additional Directions in a resident's PointClickCare diet order do not flow to the Nutrition Management diet order. In some cases, you must create a separate diet order in the resident's PointClickCare EHR.

On the Resident Dashboard you can view and manage:

  • EHR diet order mapping requirements.

  • Resident diet orders updated by the PointClickCare integration.

  • Residents with Additional Directions saved in their PointClickCare diet orders.
