Completing EHR Diet Order Mapping
Before Diet Order Integration is enabled, EHR Diet Order Mapping must be completed so diet orders can flow one-way from PointClickCare to Nutrition Management accurately. Basically, you are connecting the dots between PointClickCare and Nutrition Management. For example, you define No Added Salt (NAS) in PointClickCare is the same as NAS in Nutrition Management.
A Nutrition Management Administrator user with access to update User Security, must assign the EHR Mapping role to designated user(s) at your facility. Only assign the role to staff who understand the importance of completing the mapping. If mistakes are made, it could impact resident safety.
The Electronic Health Record (EHR) Diet Type, Diet Texture, and Fluid Consistency must appear in Nutrition Management exactly as they appear in PointClickCare. You must match capitalization, spaces, extra characters, and so on.
